WPB-TV EXCLUSIVE

City leaders take the SR 7 fight to the MPO

It was a tag team effort at this week's meeting of the PBC Metropolitan Planning Organization as Mayor Jeri Muoio, Commissioner Keith James and Commissioner Shannon Materio all tried to convince the MPO to delay funding for the State Road 7 extension. (James and Materio are members of the MPO).

The MPO, which is made up of elected officials from the County and other cities, did not delay the funding, but WPB officials said they will continue to fight against the project.

WPB-TV was the ONLY TV crew at the meeting.

#WPBgreen: City opens latest electric car charging stations

Got an electric vehicle? Now you have two more places to plug in downtown.

The city has just installed two new charging stations in the City Hall garage on the corner of Dixie Highway and Banyan Boulevard.

They're on the second level and they are free!

Don't worry if they are taken (and we hope they are since we want as many people as possible to use EV's) because there are more charging stations in the Clematis garage on the corner of Quadrille Boulevard and Clematis Street.
