Speaker: Dr. Jay Matteson

Dr. Jay Matteson is the Director of the Institute for Energy & Environmental Sustainability (IEES). IEES was established by Palm Beach State College to promote and practice sustainability in all areas. This includes the establishment of an energy institute to meet the community's workforce needs for building a sustainable energy & economic future.

Jay brings over 40 years of experience as a professional educator and entrepreneur dedicated to uniting academicians and business & industry leaders to solve the great issue of our time; that is, how to become a global family of knowledgeable and awakened partners, committed to a sustainable energy and environmental future. One of his favorite old saying goes, “if you want to go fast then go alone, but if you want to go far then go together”
