An Overview of Previous Summits:

The Mission of the Inaugural 2009 Summit - A Starting Point
On February 25, 2009, the City of West Palm Beach invited the general public focusing on local citizens, business owners and employees and City officials and employees to meet for a day of engaging speakers and strategic planning.  Over 400 people gathered with the aim of ensuring that the City’s future is prosperous and healthy for all of its residents and workers.  Reducing our carbon footprint is a vital component of accomplishing this objective.  However, doing so requires a common vision for the future of West Palm Beach.  The first e4 Summit was a significant step towards this vision - a grassroots effort to build consensus on issues, and, then set a shared agenda to address these issues.  Public participation is essential to determine what a sustainable future means for the City of West Palm Beach. The 2009 summit provided the foundation upon which the City continues to build its sustainable culture.
