List of City Awards, CityFit, and Employee Events:
The City of West Palm Beach received the 2006 runner-up award for sponsoring diversity job fairs by the National Black Caucus of Elected Officials, a constituency group of the National League of Cities. The awards were presented to cities that have shown a commitment to promoting cultural diversity. The 2006 diversity job fair attracted 47 employers and approximately 500 job seekers.
Our CityFit Program received the November 2004 Gold Pinnacle Award in the Most Creative/Effective News Stunt category. The International Festivals and Events Association annually recognizes outstanding promotional programs and materials produced around the world.
The City's Promote Yourself First training program was awarded the Champions of Workplace Learning from the Fort Lauderdale Chapter of ASTD in December 2005. The award recognized organizations for outstanding achievement in workplace learning and employee development.
The City's Supervisory Management Resource Training program was awarded the Champions of Workplace Learning from the Fort Lauderdale Chapter of ASTD in December 2006. The award recognized organizations for outstanding achievement in workplace learning and employee development.
