The Compensation & Employment Division operates under the Human Resources Department. The Compensation & Employment Division provides a wide range of services which includes
Updating and maintaining the City's Salary Plan and job descriptions
Conducting job audits
Conducting employment verifications
Implementing Salary changes as per bargaining agreements
Processing performance/merit reviews
Processing changes in employee's records such as tax changes, address changes, and salary/position changes
The City has a formal employee performance review process that review performance based on job-related standards.
The Classification and Pay Plan consists of the job descriptions, step plans, pay grades, salary ranges, special payment provisions and incentive programs.
