Non-sworn members of the Police Department in the crime scene unit shall receive certification pay for the following Crime Scene Levels upon attaining the requirements. Crime Scene Level 1: $25 per month upon receipt of certification; Crime Scene Level II: $50 per month upon receipt of certification; Crime Scene Level III: $100 per month upon receipt of certification.
Non-sworn members of the Police Department in the crime scene unit shall receive latent print examiner certification pay of five percent (5%) added to his/her base of salary at the start of the first period following receipt of certification and shall receive such certification pay so long as the certification is maintained.
Police Department personnel who are certified by the State of Florida to administer the Breathalyzer Test or other machine or device to determine intoxicants or other stimulus will be compensated at a rate of $15 per test.
Police Department personnel assigned to repair breathalyzers will receive an additional $75 per month.
Police Officers assigned to two-wheel or three-wheel motorcycle operations shall receive an additional allowance of $37.50 per week.
Police Officers assigned to the Helicopter Unit shall receive an additional allowance of $37.50 per week.
Police Officers having received a 500-hour Florida Police Academy diploma shall receive an additional $10.00 per month.
Police Department personnel shall receive an $80 shoe allowance and $700 per year for Uniform Cleaning Allowance, or $900 per year for Non-Uniform Cleaning Allowance to be paid in a lump sum no later than the 2nd pay period in November.
Police Department personnel who attain the rating of Police Officer First Class (PFC) shall receive a two and one-half percent (2.5%) increase in base salary.
Police Department personnel who attain the rating of Master Police Officer (MPO) shall receive a five percent (5%) increase in base salary. No employee may receive both the MPO and PFC increase in base salary at the same time during the same pay period.
One employee with proper certification shall be assigned by the Chief of Police as K-9 Trainers and will be paid a stipend of five percent (5%) of his/her base rate of pay for the length of time so assigned.
