Mayor Helps Keep West Palm Looking Clean and Beautiful

(04/20/07) City of West Palm Beach Mayor Lois J. Frankel will be helping keep West Palm Beach looking beautiful by joining hundreds of local volunteers participating in the Great American Cleanup. Mayor Frankel will be participating beginning at approximately 9:30 A.M. on Saturday, April 21, 2007 on the west side of Australian Boulevard along Clear Lake.
In addition to picking up trash and debris, the volunteers will be planting approximately twenty trees along the Clear Lake shoreline.
The Great American Cleanup 2007 is expected to draw more than three million volunteers nationwide. It will be taking place at sites throughout Palm Beach County. The event is part of the celebration of Earth Day, which is Sunday, April 22. The Great American Cleanup is organized locally by Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful.
