Northwood Village Bouquets Event; Antique Auction.
Apr 27, 2007 - Mayor's Office
04/26/07 – Northwood Village will be blooming once again during the second annual Spring Bouquets event and the official launch of the “Real Faces, Real Places – Come Grow With Us” branding campaign. The event will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Northwood Road, 24th and 25th Streets. The “real faces” light pole banners will be installed in Northwood Village on Friday, April 27th. These banners depict twelve local business owners who are representatives of Northwood Village. The City’s Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is using the event to promote existing businesses in Northwood Village and encourage new businesses to locate there.
Visitors and shoppers will get to know the real faces of Northwood Village in their shops and in merchant tents on Northwood Road, 24th Street, and 25th Street. These friendly faces, along with saxophonist Will Bridges, will brighten the day with unique shopping experiences, entertainment, demonstrations and a spring flower. At 11:00, Bob Nichols will host a live auction at Tinson Antiques. Throughout the day, attendees can bring their treasures to the Tinson Antiques booth for a free appraisal. Visitors can register to win gifts from local merchants at the information booth and will leave with a full bouquet of beautiful flowers to remind them of Northwood Village.
This event promotes community involvement in the success of local business owners who are the pioneers creating a unique retail district with one-of-a-kind shops and restaurants.
