City Commission to Revisit Storm Shutter Issue

May 22, 2007 - Mayor's Office

May 22, 2007 – The City of West Palm Beach Commission has revisited the issue of storm shutter regulation, voting to repeal a recently-passed City ordinance setting rules for when and how long shutters could be in place on occupied residences.  Commissioners called for further discussion on the issue.

Commissioners recently enacted an ordinance establishing guidelines for when shutters could be in place on occupied residences, but decided to repeal that ordinance.  The Commission will be scheduling a workshop to discuss the issue and possibly propose new regulations or a new ordinance.
