08/30/07 - Teens from the City’s Northwood Youth Empowerment Center will host and compete in the “Show Me Why U Hot” Talent Showcase on Friday, August 31, 2007 beginning at 8:00 P.M. at the Cuillo Centre for the Arts, located at 201 Clematis Street.

This free talent competition will feature singers, dancers, poets, and rappers.  Teens from the Youth Center have helped organize and promote the show, which will be a positive, clean venue for local talent to be on display.

The City’s Northwood Youth Empowerment Center helps keep local at-risk teens out of trouble by offering safe, educational, and fun programming.  Activities include gang resistance training, mentoring and tutoring, and audio/video production classes.
