Fall Into Tons of Fun at Clematis by Night’s Fall Festival

September 7, 2007 – The City of West Palm Beach is teaming up with the Downtown Development Authority to usher in a new season of fun at Clematis by Night’s Fall Festival. This special evening will feature lots of fall-themed games and activities and will take place on Thursday, October 4 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the 100 to 500 blocks of Clematis Street.

9-11 Ceremony and Opening of Fire Station # 7

Where: 8007 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach
Mayor Lois Frankel, Chief Robert Ridgeway, other dignitaries and hundreds of citizens will participate in a Commemoration Ceremony and Grand Opening for Fire Station # 7 serving the Western communities. Bagpipes, ringing of the memorial bell, children’s choir, and an un-coupling of hoses are some of the highlights of this event.
Park Place Through Traffic Alert
Wednesday, September 5th, 200709/05/07 - Due to ongoing road work, Park Place will be closed to through traffic between Parker Avenue and Georgia Avenue from Monday, September 10, 2007 until Monday, September 17, 2007.
Residents will have access to their homes at all times. The road closing affects through traffic only.
Tennis Center Closed for Improvements
Wednesday, September 5th, 200709/05/07 - The City of West Palm Beach’s Howard Park Tennis Center will be closed for improvements from Monday, September 10, 2007 through Monday, September 17, 2007. The courts we re-open on Tuesday, September 18, 2007.
The tennis center will be closed because the courts are being resurfaced.
