The City of West Palm Beach Department of Parks and Recreation invites girls and boys between the ages of 5 (as of 9/1/07) and 14 to sign up to play basketball. The league runs from January 22 through March 8, 2008. Both new and experienced players are welcome. Registration fee is $50 resident/$65 non-resident per player which includes a basic uniform and trophy at end of season. The league is coed by division which is broken into two year age increments. Practices are held twice a week and games are on either Friday or Saturday.
Registration deadline is December 20 and can be taken at any City of West Palm Beach Community Center. The league is also looking for adult volunteer coaches. Volunteer applications can be picked up at the Administrative Offices of the Department of Parks and Recreation located at 1100 Southern Blvd., West Palm Beach. All coaches will have a background check preformed.
