City Needs You to Help Conserve Water
Dec 19, 2007 - Newsletter
New yard watering rules are in place for all West Palm Beach.
The South Florida Water Management District passed the restrictions because of the growing need for conservation and the record-breaking low level of Lake Okeechobee, our backup water supply.
Here are the new rules:
- If you have an odd-numbered address, you can water your lawn on Mondays only, from either 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. OR from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- If you have an even-numbered address, you can water your lawn on Thursdays only, from either 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. OR from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- You can water in either the morning or the evening, but NOT both. Also, please don’t water your lawn throughout the entire four-hour window. Ten to fifteen minutes of watering is generally enough to keep your lawn healthy.
