Northwood Ambassadors gather to promote area

(02/07/08) Residents and business owners will gather for a “Northwood Ambassador” meeting on Friday, February 8, 2008 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Mucci Salon and Spa located at 2034 North Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach.
This event will help showcase the art and unique flavor of Northwood Village. The Northwood Ambassadors are a group of residents and business owners who are helping to promote and improve the Northwood Village area.
City calling all tennis lovers to watch free tournament

The City of West Palm Beach is calling all tennis lovers to come out and enjoy the 70th annual South Florida Tennis Championships beginning Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at the South Olive Tennis Center. The tournament runs through Saturday, February 9th. Matches begin daily at 9:00 a.m. Spectators are welcome to come out and watch—free of charge!
Founded in 1938, the South Florida Tennis Championship is one of the United States Tennis Association’s longest-running tournaments. There is $9,500 in prize money spread across the tournament’s divisions, which include both men’s and women’s open singles.
The South Olive Tennis Center is located at 345 Summa Street.
