WPB Issues Precautionary Boil Water Notice for Riverwalk Community
When:Â Boil Water Notice in Effect Until Monday, May 24, 2009, at 7:00 a.m.
Where:Â Riverwalk Community ONLY
(05/24/09) Due to a broken water pipe and a temporary drop in water pressure, the City of West Palm Beach has issued a precautionary boil water notice for residents in the Riverwalk Community only. Riverwalk is located on Okeechobee Boulevard west of Jog Road.
Residents in Riverwalk should not consume their water, use it for cooking or use it for cleaning utensils unless it has first been boiled for 2-3 minutes. This precautionary measure is in effect until Monday, May 25, 2009, at 7:00 a.m.
The City of West Palm Beach has notified Riverwalk residents of this situation with a reverse-911 phone call. Residents with any questions or concerns should call the City’s 24-hour hotline at 561-822-2222.

City Hosting Visual, Hands-on Public Works Event for 3rd Graders

(05/19/08)Â The City of West Palm Beach will be hosting one hundred third grade students at a hands-on celebration of Public Works Week on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at South Olive Park located at 345 Summa Street.
The event includes visual, hands-on activities for the kids, including demonstrations of the heavy equipment typically used by Public Works employees.
The Department of Public Works provides valuable services to City residents, including road repair, street sign maintenance, hurricane recovery assistance, garbage collection, yard waste removal, and more.
City Residents Encouraged to Attend Town-Hall Style Meeting

(05/19/09)Â City of West Palm Beach residents are encouraged to attend a town-hall style meeting on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. at the Grace Episcopal Parish Hall located at 3600 Australian Avenue.
City residents will have the opportunity to ask questions and voice any concerns that they have to the City Commission. The meeting is open to all who wish to attend.
