Dec 04, 2009 - Mayor's Office

ann-curryOn Saturday, Dec. 5, Ann Curry will lecture from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the opening of her photo exhibit, “Empathy” at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre. Curry’s free lecture will be held in the Commission Chambers at City Hall. Curry’s photos will be on display through February.

Curry has taken her photos, which range from portraits of the Dalai Lama to children in Africa, as part of her news-reporting duties for NBC.

“My travels have convinced me that no human being is really foreign to another. We have so much in common; the truth is we are surrounded by our sisters and brothers, mothers and fathers, each life precious. It is time for us to stand up against the suffering caused by genocide, war and ignorance. If we care enough about our human family, we can change the future.”

The photo center is located at 415 Clematis Street. For more information, please call 561.253.2600 or visit www.workshop.org
