Beatles Tribute Band “Let it Be” Playing FREE Show at PB Post “Sunday at the Meyer” June 27

There will be a British invasion of the new West Palm Beach waterfront as the Beatles Tribute Band “Let it Be” rocks the Meyer Amphitheatre will a FREE show at this weekend’s Palm Beach Post Sunday at the Meyer.

The “Let it Be” show is Sunday, June 27, 2010, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the beautiful Meyer Amphitheatre in downtown West Palm Beach.  The show is free of charge.

You will be amazed at the sights, sounds and excitement that these four lads create. Extraordinary effort has been made to recreate the excitement of an actual Beatles Concert! From “A Hard Day’s Night” and “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” to the finality of “Let It Be”, the boys will entertain you with three professional costume changes and the actual instruments Rickenbacker, Hofner and Gretsch Guitars, Ludwig Drums and Vox Amplification. “Let It Be” plays virtually all of the hit songs that “The Beatles” ever recorded….note for note! You’ll hear it all, from “Love Me Do” to “Hey Jude” and every hit song in between.
As always, guests are welcome to bring their own blankets, lawn chairs and coolers.  They can also purchase food and beverages at the concert.  The event is one of the best bargains you can find in family entertainment:  the show is free, parking in all City lots and at City meters is free and there are free kid’s activities!  The Palm Beach Post Sunday at the Meyer is produced by the City of West Palm Beach’s Division of Community Events.   It is sponsored by the Palm Beach Post, the City of West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Daily News, KOOL 105.5 FM, Newsradio 1290 WJNO, The West Palm Beach Marriott, Chick-Fil-a and A Latte Fun.

City Center Parking Garage Closed Sunday for Cleaning

When:  Sunday, June 27, 2010, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Where:  City Center Garage, corner of Quadrille Blvd. and Dixie Highway

The public should be aware that due to a routine cleaning procedure, the City Center garage will be closed on Sunday, June 27, 2010, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The garage is located at the corner of Banyan Boulevard and Dixie Highway.

As an alternative, members of the public (including library patrons) may park in the City’s Clematis Garage, which is located on Clematis Street just west of Quadrille Boulevard.
