West Palm TV to Air Waterfront Grand Opening Special

Special to Include Entire “Cirque Majik” Performance, Fireworks
(Thursday, February 25, 2010) West Palm TV, the City of West Palm Beach’s government access television station, will air a Waterfront Grand Opening special this Saturday, February 27, 2010 beginning at 7:00 p.m. The special will feature the entire performance of “Cirque Majik,” as well as portions of the fireworks and live entertainment from that evening’s event.
West Palm TV can be seen in the City of West Palm Beach on Comcast cable Channel 18 and anywhere in the world you have internet access by logging on to westpalmtv.com.
“For the first time in the station’s history we were able to bring a live, remote event to our viewers the day of our event, and we are proud to present the replay of the day’s festivities to those who couldn’t make it down to the waterfront in person” said West Palm TV Station Manager Jim Clark.
The special is about 2 ½ hours long and is hosted by local television and radio veteran Bob Nichols and former Miss Florida Angelia Savage. It originally aired live on Saturday, February 20, 2010.

Accessing City Government Now Easier Than Ever

(Wednesday, January 21, 2009) Watching your City’s government in action and learning about how the City works is easier than ever thanks to new technologies and services being embraced by the City’s government access station, West Palm TV 18.
“I’m pleased that West Palm TV 18 is using new resources to reach more people than ever before,” said West Palm Beach Mayor Lois J. Frankel. “The station continues to be a top-quality window into City government for residents, visitors and anyone interested in West Palm Beach news and happenings.”
The station recently launched its own YouTube channel, giving viewers access to on-demand programming at all times. “YouTube has become a favorite destination for those looking for on-demand content,” said West Palm TV 18 station manager Jim Clark. “By launching our own channel there, we’re giving the public access to our programming on their terms and around the clock.” The YouTube channel address is http://www.youtube.com/user/westpalmtv.
The station also has a channel dedicated entirely to “CityNews,” which airs segments on City events, programs and happenings. This channel runs 24-hours a day in a continuous loop at http://mogulus.com/WestPalmTV.
You can still watch the channel on Comcast Cable channel 18 within the City limits, and via our website (www.westpalmtv.com) from anywhere you have internet access.
West Palm TV 18 is the City of West Palm Beach’s government access TV channel. WPB-TV Service Interruption Planned

Due to equipment upgrades being made by Comcast Cable, the City of West Palm Beach’s government access channel, West Palm TV (Comcast Cable channel 18), will undergo a planned service interruption on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 from 12:01 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
The planned service interruption is necessary because of improvements being made by Comcast Cable to fiber cable lines.
