Palm Beach County – Palm Beach County traffic will be affected this week by ongoing construction projects and maintenance work, Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) officials report. Portion of Belvedere Road closed to traffic

When: Beginning Friday, July 16, 2010, at 8:00 p.m.
Affected Area: Belvedere Rd. between Mercer Rd. and Hillsboro Rd.
Motorists should be aware that due to a Palm Beach County and CSX project to rebuild a railway crossing, Belvedere Road will be closed to traffic just west of I-95 between Mercer road and Hillsboro Road beginning Friday, July 16, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. The road is expected to reopen no later than Friday, July 23, 2010.
Motorists should detour via either Australian Boulevard or Parker Avenue to either Southern Boulevard or Okeechobee Boulevard.

(07/01/10) Motorists should be aware of the following road closings due to 4 th on Flagler 2010 in downtown West Palm Beach:
The following roads will be closed beginning Saturday, July 3, at 8:00 a.m. and will reopen on Monday, July 5, no later than noon:
Flagler Drive from Banyan Boulevard to Lakeview Avenue
South Clematis Street from Narcissus St. to Flagler Drive
North Clematis Street from Lantana St. to Flagler Drive
Datura Street from Narcissus St. to Flagler Dr. (permit and local traffic only)
Evernia Street from Narcissus St. to Flagler Drive (permit only)
Fern Street form Olive Avenue to Flagler Drive (access for resident & handicap parking only)
The following roads will be closed beginning Sunday, July 4, at noon and will reopen no later than Monday, July 5, at noon:
North Clematis Street from Olive Avenue to Lantana Street
Narcissus Street from Banyan Boulevard to Evernia Street
Tanglewood Court from Olive Avenue to Chase Street
Trinity Place from Olive Avenue to Chase Street

S. Dixie Highway Drainage, Utility Improvements Continue

When: Beginning Tuesday, July 6, 2010
Affected Area: South Dixie Highway at Edmor Road
(07-01-10) The City of West Palm Beach is making infrastructure improvements along Edmor Road, including at the intersection with Dixie Highway. As a result of the project, South Dixie Highway will be closed to traffic at Edmor Road for a period of approximately 30 (thirty) days beginning Tuesday, July 6, 2010. As part of the project, the City will be upgrading stormwater pipes, which will improve drainage and help reduce flooding in the area for both homes and businesses. The City is also upgrading aged water lines, resulting in better service for customers and improved fire protection for the area.
All residents, businesses, and their customers will continue to have access to their destinations along Dixie Highway during this period. Through traffic should detour via Olive Avenue or Parker Avenue. Notices have already been sent to residents and businesses in the construction zone.

When: Sunday, June 6th 6AM until Noon
Sunday, June 6th from 6 until 12 noon, the City of West Palm Beach Public Works Division will be making emergency paver repairs at the following locations:
1. On Okeechobee Blvd, westbound, at Sapodilla (1 lane closed)
2. At the intersection of Iris and Sapodilla
