Palm Beach County traffic will be affected this week by ongoing construction projects and maintenance work, Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) officials report.
Weather permitting; closures will be in effect on I-95 and in other areas throughout Palm Beach County for construction activities.

Traffic Advisory: Road Closure Bunker Road at Railroad Crossing

What: City of West Palm Beach Road Closure
When: 6:00 A.M. Sunday, July 31, thru 1:00 A.M. Wed., August 3, 2011
Where: Bunker Road at the FEC Railroad Crossing

Partial Closure:
Bunker Road, From Dixie to Norton. The road will be signed “Open To Local Traffic only” to reduce the amount of traffic turning onto Bunker at Dixie.
Detour Routes for Bunker Road:
East bound traffic on Bunker Road should turn south onto Georgia Avenue, then to Forest Hill Blvd., east to Dixie. Or, north on Georgia to Nottingham, east to Dixie.
West bound traffic on Bunker Road should turn north onto Norton Avenue, then to Puritan to Dixie. There is a traffic signal at Puritan and Dixie that will allow travelers to turn south (to Forest Hill Blvd.) or north (to Nottingham Blvd.).
Traffic Advisory: 25th Street at the FEC Railroad Crossing

LOCATION: 25th Street, Rosemary Avenue to Pinewood Avenue at the FEC Railroad Crossing
DESCRIPTION: Rebuilding the 25th Street crossing at the FEC Railroad Tracks.
RESTRICTIONS:
Total closure: 25th Street from Rosemary Avenue to Pinewood Avenue. The closure will begin at 6:00 A.M. on Sunday, July 17, 2011 and is expected to end on or before 1:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 20, 2011.
Detour Routes for 25th Street:
East bound traffic should turn south onto Tamarind Avenue, then east onto 23rd Street to Pinewood Avenue, then north on Pinewood Avenue to 25th Street.
West bound traffic should turn south onto Pinewood Avenue, then west onto 23rd Street to Tamarind Avenue to 25th Street.
Traffic Advisory: North Flagler Drive at 40th Street

Major Road Closure City of West Palm Beach
LOCATION: North Flagler Drive at 40th Street
DESCRIPTION: Relocation and reconstruction of a stormwater line
RESTRICTIONS: Total closure of the north Flagler Drive and 40th Street intersection will begin at 9:00 A.M. on Monday, July 11, 2011 and is expected to end on or before 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 21, 2011 (prior to the first day of school).
Detour Routes for Flagler Drive: Northbound traffic will be detoured to Broadway via 36th Street and return to North Flagler Drive via 45th Street Southbound traffic will be detoured to Broadway via 45th Street and return to North Flagler Drive via 36th Street.
North Flagler Drive shall be open to local traffic only from 36th Street to just south of 40th Street, and from 45th Street to just north of 40th Street. 40th Street will be open for local traffic only from Spruce Avenue to just west of North Flagler Drive.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
Traffic Advisory: Major Road Closure Okeechobee Blvd.

LOCATION: Okeechobee Blvd. from Australian Ave. to Tamarind Ave.
DESCRIPTION: Road widening, railroad reconstruction, new structures with traffic signals.
RESTRICTIONS: Lane closures during the evening Sunday through Thursday from 10PM – 6AM. The total closure of Okeechobee Blvd. at the railroad crossing will begin July 11, 2011 at 5:00 A.M. and end August 12, 2011 at 6:00 P.M.
Traffic will be detoured via: Australian Ave., Banyan Blvd. and Tamarind Ave. The detour route may be congested so motorists are encouraged to seek an alternate routes including Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. and Belvedere Road.
