NORTHWOOD COMMUNITY CENTER & ADULT CENTER
Location: Pinewood Avenue and 37th to 43rd street
The community center is operated by the City of West Palm Beach Parks and Recreation Department. This center includes a spacious multi-purpose meeting room (for programs) and two smaller rooms for programs as well as a conference room and offices. The offices of Housing Partnership will also be on site to provide services to the community. The facility will also be used for community association meetings and adult programs.
Adult Center
The Adult Center, located at 39
th and Pinewood Avenue,
will serve the community in multiple ways. The Parks and Recreation Department will be providing programming
for adults at the center. Community
groups will have the opportunity to use the facilities for their meetings
and needs. Housing Partnership,
Inc., a private non-profit organization serving Palm Beach County,
will serve the Northwood community by providing family-strengthening
services through their Campus for Living program. This successful collaborative will bring a vast array of services
to residents at little or no cost. Services from Housing Partnership
may include, but are not limited to, GED training, literacy services,
computer classes, support groups, vocational training, case management,
health education and advocacy. Housing Partnership's web address is

The City would
love the input of Northwood residents, and city residents alike, as to
what programs the residents would like to see offered at the Northwood
Adult Center.
Boys & Girls Club
This community center to be operated by the Boys and Girls Club under a lease and agreement with the City of West Palm Beach Parks and Recreation Department. This center will provide programs for youth.
Daycare Building
Planned for corner of Pinewood Avenue and 39th Street where day care will be provided.

Located adjacent to the Boys and Girls Club and across Pinewood Avenue from the Adult Center. This center will provide programs for youth and adults.

Located on Pinewood Avenue and 39th Street – these lighted courts are open and available for play.

Located on Pinewood Avenue and 40th Street – the play structure will be open and available for play by December, 2001.

Located on Pinewood Avenue and 39th Street – this outdoor volleyball court is open and available for play.
