PHIPPS PARK SANCTUARY SKATE PARK
Scope of Work Completed at the Skate Park includes a Pro Shop,
In Line Hockey Rink, and Extreme Skate park with ramps, rails.
Total budget for the project: $770,395.
The Sanctuary Skate Park at Phipps Park will be operated by
Sanctuary Skate
USA under a contract with the City of West Palm Beach.
The City of West Palm Beach receives a minimum of 8% on all
sales transacted through the Skate Park per a contract with
the facilities manager,
Sanctuary
Skate USA. Annual membership is Free for City residents
(proof required – utility bill). Nonresident Membership is
$30 per year. Members: Fee for skating is 99 cents for two
hour session. Non members pay $7 per session. Membership entitles
you to skate at all Sanctuary Parks nationwide.
The main skate park features a 4' tall x 24' wide Mini Ramp. a 2 ' tall Pyramid with filled corners, a 2' tall Fun Box with wedges, transitions, planters and spine, a 4' tall x 16' wide Hipped Wedge, a Compound Manual Box, 2' tall Fun Box with double-raked planter & rails, a 4' to 6' tall Raked Quarter Pipe, a Hipped Wedge with Wall Ride, 2 Wedge with Wall Ride ramps, a 5' tall Radi used Wedge with Kicker, and a series of 4', 5', and 6' tall x 8' wide Quarter Pipes that create to form 3 separate session areas.
The beginner/teaching area of the skate park features a beginner
fun box with rail, a 3' tall x 8' wide quarter pipe and 2
free standing rails.
The Skate Park also includes a Pro Shop that will stock
365 days a year all the latest decks, skates, hockey skates,
bags, wheels, hockey sticks, clothes, shoes, videos, magazines
and gear. In addition the proshop will feature a video game
area with tv, vcr, and pinball games and an outdoor area
where the whole family can enjoy a hotdog or slice of pizza
while watching a hockey game or unbelievable tricks on the
ramps.
