About the Update The Downtown Master Plan (DMP) was adopted by the City Commission in December 1995 with the intent to provide a 24-hour, live, work, play environment for the City of West Palm Beach. Since the adoption of the DMP ten years ago, the City has experienced profound changes in the character and scale of development downtown. The update aims to reevaluate the structure suggested by the DMP and find solutions for the conflicts and challenges the downtown is currently experiencing.
