About Us

The goal of the Small Business Program is to monitor and enforce compliance with the Small Business Program Municipal Code. The purpose of the Small Business Program is to serve the public interest by spurring economic development through encouraging small businesses to locate and remain in Palm Beach County, especially in the City of West Palm Beach. The Small Business Program does this by making sure that small businesses participate equitably in City contracts for goods, professional services, and construction services.

Helping Small Business Owners be Successful

The Small Business Program is an advocate and facilitator in navigating City licensing, permitting and regulatory procedures during the contract process. The Program also acts as a resource for problem-solving and as a change agent to identify obstacles that may hinder vendors from doing business with the City.

Opening the Door to the City

Businesses that meet the City's criteria for the Small Business Program can take advantage of its certification programs, database of approved vendors, procurement opportunities and regulatory assistance.
