Apoxee Park Trailhead & Trail System is the first in a series of planned urban wilderness parks being created by the City. There are paved, wheelchair accessible trails that meander through the natural settings of a forest hammock. The trail systems have continued to grow. Phase two of the project now provides boardwalks and dirt trails that reach from Apoxee to the South Side of the Grassy Waters Nature Center . The park is located on the West side of Jog road, North of Okeechobee.
