Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.) - Public Safety

Most people are not prepared to deal with minor emergencies and after a major emergency potentially expose themselves to injury and death without proper training. CERT is a group of citizens who have been trained to recognize, respond to, and recover from natural and man-made disasters until emergency services arrive. Properly trained citizens can be a tremendous resource to the emergency response capabilities of our community and the West Palm Beach Emergency Operations Center would like to train you to become a CERT member. Your training will consist of disaster preparedness, fire suppression, medical operations and light search and rescue. Once you've received your training the City of West Palm Beach will be able to depend on your help if a disaster strikes our area. Become involved by attending our community based program.

Requirements: Complete a volunteer application and background screening process.
