Stormwater Drainage Division

The Stormwater Drainage Division is responsible for capturing and conveying the drainage runoff throughout the City. The Stormwater infrastructure is designed with a series of pipe ranging from 8 inches to 72 inches in diameter.

The division cleans and inspects the system on a routine basis which allows the staff to remedy issues before they occur.  The Stormwater Division employees are trained in the day to day operations as well in the equipment operation and must obtain a level “C” Stormwater operator certification and a CDL License.

The division has an Environmental Compliance Specialist to monitor and measure illicit discharges in our system and to educate our customers of the dangers of polluting our waterways.

The division works days, nights, weekends and holidays to assist our customers with their drainage needs.  We follow all the guidelines regulated by Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES).
