Mission: Enhance the viability of West Palm Beach as a model of a healthy, environmentally progressive, resilient and ecologically sustainable community.

The City of West Palm Beach has been committed to sustainability targeting climate change for over a decade. We were one of the first cities in the State of Florida to have a dedicated office addressing climate change, sustainability and resiliency issues. The Office of Sustainability collaborates with various city agencies, nonprofit organizations, businesses and private citizens among other partners to enhance the viability of the municipality as a model of healthy, environmentally progressive, resilient and ecologically sustainable, urban living.  We are committed to continue to evolve to meet our City’s / region’s environmental challenges focused on exceeding our community’s expectations.

Food, Glorious Sustainable Food

Participants will reconnect with the pleasures and purposes of eating wisely and well with our speaker, Coach Minx. Tap back into the joy and satisfaction of eating nutritiously (and deliciously). Take advantage of this opportunity to explore different ideas concerning the impact of our choices on our personal health and vitality as well as on the ecological well-being of Planet Earth.

Coach Minx grew up in the restaurant business in NYC and has been exploring and presenting about the joys and challenges of eating well for the past 45 years. She taught both cooking and nutrition at Natural Gourmet in NYC and was a major contributor to a book by that same name. She is also an activist for Elders Action Network and facilitates their webinars on both The Empowered Elder and on Sustainable Living.

This is a FREE program and will be held in the auditorium at the Mandel Public Library.
