The City of West Palm Beach has been committed to sustainability targeting climate change for over a decade. We were one of the first cities in the State of Florida to have a dedicated office addressing climate change, sustainability and resiliency issues. The Office of Sustainability collaborates with various city agencies, nonprofit organizations, businesses and private citizens among other partners to enhance the viability of the municipality as a model of healthy, environmentally progressive, resilient and ecologically sustainable, urban living.  We are committed to continue to evolve to meet our City’s / region’s environmental challenges focused on exceeding our community’s expectations.

How to Let Go of the World Film Screening and Panel Discussion

Join the West Palm Beach Office of Sustainability, Surfrider Foundation - Palm Beach County Chapter, Friends of Palm Beach, and the Surfing Florida Museum as we host a FREE screening of "How to Let Go of the World and Love All the Things Climate Can't Change."

Academy Award nominee, Josh Fox, travels the globe to meet with global climate change "warriors" who are committed to reversing the tide of global warming. Funny and tragic, inspiring and enlightening, the film examines the intricately woven forces that threaten the stability of the planet and the lives of its inhabitants. Traveling to 12 countries on 6 continents, the film acknowledges that it may be too late to stop some of the worst consequences and asks, what is it that climate change can’t destroy?
