Road and Dock Closures for Thursday, September 12, 2024

CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH ENGINEERING, PUBLIC WORKS & UTILITY ROAD CLOSURES 

• Washington Road between Roosevelt Place and Royal Palm Road (construction extended through September 2024): Road closures as part of a streetscape redesign, including new underground utilities, sidewalks, and storm drainage improvements. Washington Rd open from Monceaux Rd to Royal Palm Rd. Anticipated intermittent lane closures throughout for final paving and stripping.
• 300 Block North Clematis Alleyway (Extended thru September 2024): Full closure of alleyway between Dixie and Olive Avenue for underground utilities improvements. Sidewalk closures on east and west side Olive Avenue (not at the same time)
• Tamarind Avenue between Banyan Boulevard & 7^th Street (Thru September 2024): Full Road closures as part of a streetscape redesign, including new underground utilities, sidewalks, lighting and storm drainage improvements.
• Boyd Street, Boyd St & Dock Street intersection (Phase 1) (thru September 2024): Expect Intermittent Lane closures during the drainage improvements on Boyd Street and Ardmore Road (from Dock Street to Ridgeway Avenue).
• Charles Street, Dock Street & Ridgeway Ave (Phase 2) (thru September 2024): Expect Intermittent Lane closures during the drainage improvements.
• 7^th Street (Roosevelt Estates from Palm Beach Lakes Blvd to Australian Ave (Thru October 2024): Intermittent Lane closures with flagging operations for roadway work.
• Flagler Drive Sidewalk Closure (Until further notice): Sidewalk closed from Arkona Ct and Barcelona Rd.
• Sapodilla Ave between Fern St & Evernia (thru September 2024): Sidewalk closed for replacement.
• Culvert Replacement in the Villages (thru September 2024): Sidewalk closure for culvert replacement at various locations.
• Wildermere Road between Dixie Hwy and Olive Ave (thru Early 2025): Intermittent lane closures. Anticipated start date September 24^th.

EVENT ROAD CLOSURES   

• Clematis by Night – Thursday September 12^th & Thursday September 19^th: North & South Clematis Streets between Narcissus Avenue and Flagler Drive, and Lantana Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and North Clematis Street, and Narcissus between Drama Works Alley & North Clematis Street from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m.
• The Square Closure – Friday September 13^th through Sunday, September 15^th  & Friday September 20^th through Sunday, September 22^nd: Rosemary Avenue between Okeechobee Boulevard and Hibiscus Street.
• 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb & 5K – Sunday September 8, 2024:
• • Sat. 9/7 - Closing at 4:00 pm – 4th St between N Olive Ave & Flagler Dr – Reopen by 2pm on 9/8
  • Sun. 9/8 – Closing at 5:00 am – 5th St between N Olive Ave and Flagler Dr and N. Olive Ave between 4th St and 5th St – Reopen by 2pm on 9/8
  • Closing by 8:00 am – Flagler Dr. – Quadrille to Lakeview – Reopen by 11:00 am

Nights in Northwood Village – Friday September 20, 2024 thru September 24, 2024: Spruce Ave closed between 23^rd and Northwood Rd and Spruce Ave between Northwood Road & 24^th St. No closures on Northwood Rd & 24^th Street.

St. Jude Walk/Run – Saturday September 21, 2024: Flagler Drive closed from Banyan Blvd to Valencia Rd from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm.

PRIVATE PROJECT ROAD CLOSURES

• One Flagler - Chase Street between Lakeview Avenue and Okeechobee Boulevard (through Late 2024): The road is closed for construction. The eastern sidewalk is closed for construction.
• One Flagler - Lakeview Avenue between Flagler Drive and Chase Street (through Late 2024): Single Lane closure due to construction. No site deliveries in the work zone. 
• • Sidewalk, street parking area, and rightmost straight lane closure on Southbound Flagler Dr from Lakeview Ave to Okeechobee Blvd.
• 301 Clematis (Extended through Late 2024):
• • Sidewalk closures along site frontage on Banyan Boulevard and North Olive Avenue
  • Alley north of Clematis Street closed between North Olive Avenue and the Chase Bank plaza.
• 512 Clematis (thru May 2025): Sidewalk closure on southwest corner of Clematis Ave & Quadrille Plaza Drive.
• • Southbound Lane on Quadrille Plaza Drive closed until further notice
  • Sept 16^th to Oct 4^th – Hard closure on 500 Block of Clematis in front of 512 building for utility tie-ins.  North sidewalk will remain open. 
• Olara Boat Dock (thru January 2025): Sidewalk closure on east side of Flagler Drive between Pine Street and Butler Drive. Parking stalls also closed.
• Flagler Forte (thru May 2025): Currently roads are open. Intermittent lane closure on Flager Drive for material delivery.
• Northwood Square (thru September 2024): Hard closure on 25^th Street between Rosemary Avenue and Broadway Ave.
• NORA (thru September 2024)- Spruce Ave between 11^th St & Palm Beach Lakes
• 25^th St closed between Broadway & the Railroad 23^rd from Spruce Ave to the railroad (until further notice)
• Dixie Ave between Banyan Blvd and 5^th Street (September 2024): Intermittent Lane and sidewalk closures for sidewalk restoration.
• NYU (thru December 2024) – Sidewalk and single lane closures on Datura St between Olive Ave & Dixie Hwy. Sidewalk closed on Olive Ave between Datura Street and Evernia St. Anticipated to start in September.

PALM BEACH COUNTY ENGINEERING & PUBLIC WORKS ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY

• Palm Beach Lakes Blvd at 7^th Street (until further notice): Periodic westbound left turn lane closure for roundabout installation on 7^th Street. 
• Palm Beach Lakes Blvd from N. Australian Ave to N. Tamarind Ave (until further notice): Periodic westbound right lane closure. Periodic southbound right turn lane closure on N. Australian Avenue. Periodic southbound right turn lane closure on Tamarind Avenue for underground utility work. 
• North Australian Ave just north of Mangonia Drive: Periodic northbound right lane closure for pole installation.
• Northlake Blvd at Ibis Boulevard and at Shoppes of Ibis (until further notice): Periodic eastbound right lane closure for Mast arm installation.

FLORIDA DEPT. OF TRANSPORTATION (FDOT) ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY OF WPB 

State Road (SR) 710/Beeline Highway Reconstruction Project (through Late 2029)

• Project Limits: 3.142-mile project in the cities of Palm Beach Gardens, Riviera Beach and West Palm Beach began on March 18, 2024.
• Improvements consist of widening SR 710/Beeline Highway from Northlake Boulevard to SR 708/Blue Heron Boulevard from 4 lanes to 6 lanes, replacing and widening the Florida’s Turnpike bridge over SR 710/Beeline Highway, constructing an at-grade partial Continuous Flow Intersection (CFI) at the intersection of SR 710/Beeline Highway and Northlake Boulevard, adding sidewalks and bicycle lanes on both sides of SR 710/Beeline Highway, upgrading railroad crossings, drainage, signage, lighting, signalization and pavement markings throughout project limits, and upgrading Intelligent Transportation System (ITS).
• State Road (SR) 710/Beeline Highway from SR 708/Blue Heron to Northlake Boulevard will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• SR 710/Beeline Highway and Northlake Boulevard will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• SR 710/Beeline Highway and Jog Road will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• SR 710/Beeline Highway and Haverhill Road will have one inside lane closed in each direction, daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• SR 710/Beeline Highway from Military Trail to Blue Heron Boulevard will have one lane closed in each direction, daily, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• SR 710/Beeline Highway lane widths are reduced and westbound traffic has been shifted to the median from just east of the Turnpike to Blue Heron Boulevard to safely facilitate construction activities.
• The SR 710/Beeline Highway northwest ramp to eastbound Northlake Boulevard has been temporarily closed to safely facilitate this phase of construction, and is anticipated to reopen in Fall 2025. During this closure, motorists can continue on SR 710/Beeline Highway and turn right at the light to access eastbound Northlake Boulevard.

  Northshore Bridge Improvements Project (Spring 2025)

• Project Limits: This 0.07-mile project on North Shore Drive over the Carver Canal in the city of West Palm Beach began August 26, 2024.
• The work includes construction of a prefabricated steel pedestrian bridge on the west side of North Shore Drive crossing the Carver Canal, realignment of the pedestrian sidewalk path on the west side of North Shore Bridge to the new pedestrian bridge, reconstruction of drainage outfalls along the north and south sides of the newly constructed pedestrian bridge, replacement and upgrading signage impacted by construction, and adding lighting at each side of the new pedestrian bridge.
• All travel lanes are open.

  CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH DOCKS

• Currie Park Boat Docks and Ramps (2400 North Flagler Drive): Ramps are open daily, from sunrise to sunset.
• Lake Mangonia Park Boat Ramps (2957 North Australian Avenue): Ramps are open daily, from sunrise to sunset. 
• Clematis Street Docks (South Clematis Street at South Flagler Drive): Docks are open daily, from 5 a.m. until midnight.
• Fern Street Dock (Fern Street at South Flagler Drive): The dock is open daily from 5 a.m. until midnight. No overnight dockage is allowed for boats, dinghies, or kayaks. The Fern Dock is also the home of a West Palm Beach Marine Patrol Boat and the West Palm Beach Fire and Rescue Boat.
