Code Enforcement

One of the City of West Palm Beach’s primary goals is to keep our neighborhoods beautiful. To maintain beautiful neighborhoods, the City has adopted codes which create minimum standards for properties within the City limits.

Communications

The mission of the City's Office of Communications & Marketing in the Office of Mayor Keith A. James is to ensure that the media, citizens and city employees have access to accurate, timely information from the City of West Palm Beach.

Community Redevelopment Agency

The West Palm Beach Community Redevelopment Agency is a local government agency that works in collaboration with residents, property owners, businesses, developers and other community organizations to foster redevelopment within the CRA Districts.

Development Services

The Planning & Zoning and Building divisions of the Development Services department work to promote planning regulation, and the health, safety, and welfare of the community and first responders. The department is responsible for historic preservation, Zoning code, building permitting and inspections, business tax administration, and public records related to those activities.

Engineering

The Engineering Services Department works collaboratively with all departments to maintain, design and construct the existing and future infrastructure essential to the safety, health and quality of life for the citizens, businesses, and visitors of West Palm Beach.

Finance

Reporting to City Administration, the Finance Department serves the Mayor, City Commission, and City Administration as Financial Manager, City and CRA Treasurer, Budget Officer and Accounting Manager.

Fire Department

The West Palm Beach Fire Department is an all-hazards response agency protecting over 118,000 residents and millions of visitors who live, work and play in our growing City.

Grassy Waters Preserve

Grassy Waters Preserve is a 23-square-mile wetlands ecosystem that serves as the freshwater supply for the City of West Palm Beach and the towns of South Palm Beach and Palm Beach Island.

Housing & Community Development

The mission of the City of West Palm Beach Department of Housing and Community Development is to enhance the quality of life for its residents through the development of housing, social, and economic opportunities.
