Budget Division

The Budget Office prepares and administers the City’s annual budget in accordance with Florida Statutes and policies of the City Commission. The Division fulfills an oversight role on behalf of the City Commission and the City Administration. In addition, the Budget Office provides general advice and assistance to City Departments, members of the public, media representatives, and other units of government.

Primary Services Include: 

  • prepare the City’s annual operating and capital budgets;

  • analyze and process all changes to the adopted budget;

  • monitor revenues and expenditures; report quarterly and monthly on financial trends and issues, status of major projects and departmental performance measurement data; and

  • review fiscal impact of Commission agenda items.

Budget Reports

The Budget Office is responsible for preparing the Annual Operating Budget for the City of West Palm Beach. In an effort to ensure that the City’s budgetary information is accessible to all, online versions of the City’s budget documents can be viewed by clicking on the links below. Join us on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, for the Community Budget Meeting. Attend virtually at 1:00 p.m. via Zoom or in person at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall (401 Clematis Street). Learn how your tax dollars are invested and share your ideas for the future of our community. Your input helps shape the City's priorities and services. The meeting will include an update on the proposed FY 2026/27 budget, the City's budget process, property values and tax revenue, millage rate history, and highlights of the proposed General Fund Operating Budget.
