The City of WPB has issued a Precautionary Boil Water Advisory for approximately 300 water customers following a water main break on May 19 in the area west of Parker Avenue, between Summit Boulevard and Southern Boulevard.While repair work is being completed, north and southbound traffic on Parker Ave is closed between Selkirk Street and Summit Boulevard. Drivers should use Lake Ave.
City Hall, the Mandel Public Library and the Grassy Waters Preserve Nature Center will be closed on Monday, May 26, 2025, in observance of Memorial Day. Regular trash and garbage pickup services will be provided on a regular schedule. City Hall and Grassy Waters will reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27; the library will open at 9:30 a.m.
The City of West Palm Beach Public Utilities Department is conducting a test of the wastewater collection system. A smoke, harmless to humans, plants and animals, is being introduced into the lines to determine if there are any leaks. Take a walk on the wild side during this hike through the cypress swamp. Be prepared to get wet and muddy! This hike is on a rugged trail that requires stepping over and ducking under vegetation and other obstacles. Expect knee-deep water levels.

Come Prepared: Wear closed-toe shoes that can get wet and muddy. Shoes should fit tightly enough not to be pulled off by the mud (water shoes or old sneakers are best). Bring a water bottle, hat, sunscreen, towel, and change of clothes.
