WEST PALM BEACH, FL – The City of West Palm Beach has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its outstanding comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year.
Despite facing significant staffing challenges, the City of West Palm Beach demonstrated an effort to complete the report on time and achieved a remarkable feat—zero audit findings. This remarkable accomplishment underscores the City's dedication to upholding unparalleled standards in financial reporting, even in the face of challenges.
The impartial panel adjudicating the report found it to meet the stringent standards of the GFOA program, showcasing a constructive "spirit of full disclosure."
This award, considered the highest form of recognition in the realm of governmental accounting and financial reporting, is a testament to the City of West Palm Beach's commitment to transparency and excellence.
