Traffic Management Efforts for the Palm Beach International Boat Show
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (March 21, 2025) – Each year, the Palm Beach International Boat Show attracts between 25,000 and 35,000 attendees, generating over one billion dollars in economic impact for the local community. As with any major event, the Boat Show temporarily increases traffic in Downtown West Palm Beach.
To ensure smooth traffic flow during the event, the West Palm Beach Police Department has implemented several proactive measures, including:
• Maximizing roadway capacity by removing loading zones and construction barriers on S. Olive Avenue and S. Dixie Highway.
• Deploying officers at key intersections to monitor traffic signals and provide direction as needed.
• Assigning roving officers to address traffic concerns in real time.
While these efforts have helped mitigate congestion, some delays may still occur. The West Palm Beach Police Department encourages attendees and residents to plan ahead by:
• Be aware of bridge operation schedules and adjust travel plans accordingly.
• Planning travel routes in advance to avoid unexpected delays.
• Allowing extra time for travel to ensure timely arrival.
• Utilizing alternate routes such as Quadrille Boulevard, Tamarind Avenue, or Australian Avenue to reduce congestion.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to stay informed through official channels and follow traffic advisories as needed.
