Hit and Run Crash Injures West Palm Beach Police Officer

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (April 18, 2025) — An officer with the West Palm Beach Police Department was injured when a vehicle crashed into his parked patrol car.

West Palm Beach Police officers responded to a crash along the 1900 block of Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. Friday evening. Officers on scene activated their emergency lights while investigating the crash. An officer was in the process of entering his marked patrol car, when a white 2022 to 2024 model Hyundai Tucson struck his vehicle around 8:30 p.m. The impact threw the officer to the ground. The driver of the white Hyundai Tucson reversed and left the scene of the crash.

The officer was transported to an area hospital and was treated for minor injuries. The white Hyundai Tucson was last seen heading northbound on I-95.

The investigation is ongoing.
