Serial Burglar Arrested Following Multi-Agency Investigation

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (May 28, 2025) — A coordinated effort between multiple law enforcement agencies led to the arrest of 52-year-old Ricardo Stafford on Saturday, May 25, 2025. Stafford is facing numerous charges connected to a string of home and vehicle burglaries across several neighborhoods throughout the city.

Stafford is charged with the following offenses:

• Burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, unarmed

• Attempted burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, unarmed (14 counts)

• Burglary of a conveyance, armed

• Burglary of an occupied dwelling, unarmed

• Burglary of a dwelling with assault

• Committing a second-degree felony while wearing a mask

• Grand theft of a firearm

• Petit theft

The charges stem from multiple incidents across the South End, El Cid, and Villages neighborhoods. Detectives determined Stafford unlawfully entered both homes and vehicles, often targeting unsecured properties and removing personal items of value, including firearms.

Stafford has a lengthy criminal history dating back to the mid-1990s, including prior convictions for similar offenses. He is also facing related charges from the North Palm Beach Police Department and Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Stafford is currently being held at the Palm Beach County Main Detention Center, where he remains in custody.
