WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (December 5, 2025) — The West Palm Beach Police Department has ended its partnership with the SaferWatch app, urging the public to use 911 for emergencies and 561-822-1900 for non-emergencies.
The West Palm Beach Police Department announced today that it has concluded its partnership with the SaferWatch mobile application.
Residents and visitors who need to report a crime or request immediate police assistance are urged to call or text 911, which remains the fastest and most reliable method for connecting with emergency responders.
Launched in May 2023, the SaferWatch app served as an additional reporting option for the West Palm Beach Police Department for just over two years. Following a review of user engagement and reporting trends, the department determined that only a limited number of community members utilized the platform to submit tips or report incidents. Consolidating reporting methods will help streamline communication and ensure critical information reaches first responders without delay.
“911 is the fastest and most efficient way to communicate with law enforcement and rescue services during an emergency,” said West Palm Beach Police Department Chief Tony Araujo. “Our priority is to ensure that West Palm Beach remains a safe and healthy to place to live, work, and play.”
For non-emergency police assistance, community members should continue to call 561-822-1900. The School District of Palm Beach County maintains its partnership with SaferWatch and will continue to utilize the app for submitting tips and reporting school-related incidents.
