West Palm Beach City Commission Meeting and Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Meeting Approvals and Decisions
WEST PALM BEACH, FL (Feb. 3, 2026) – Below is a summary of the approvals and decisions made by the City Commission meeting on Monday, February 2, 2026.
MAYOR’S OFFICE – In honor of the services provided by 211 Palm Beach and Treasure Coast, Mayor Keith A. James proclaimed the week of February 11-17, 2026, as 211 Awareness Week.
Ty Barnes, President/CEO of 211 Palm Beach and Treasure Coast accepted the proclamation from May Keith A. James.
Mayor James also proclaimed the month of February as Junior League of the Palm Beaches Month for the services rendered by the association.
Accepting the proclamation from Mayor James is Kate Stamm, president, along with other members of the board.
MAYOR’S OFFICE -- Approved a resolution approving an agreement for support of the Currie Park District with certain surrounding property owners; approved a resolution approving an Agreement with 550 Quadrille LLC regarding completion of construction of the One West Palm project; approved a resolution; and approved a resolution approving an agreement between the City and the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections for vote processing equipment use and election services for the March 2026 Municipal Election.
Approved an ordinance after a second public hearing approving an agreement granting the Northwood Road height incentive under the CMUD Zoning and Land Development Regulations; providing for the exchange of portions of certain land parcels for the roadway; approving the abandonment of Lake Road, Kent Terrance, and portions of Bethesda Terrace; and accepting the Developer contribution for the construction of Northwood Road.
MAYOR’S OFFICE and CITY COMMISSION -- February is Black History Month and Mayor James and each City Commissioner select a community member as a Black History Month Honoree.
Danita R. DeHaney, President/CEO of the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties, honored by Mayor Keith A. James.
Shenetria Moore, Publisher and CEO, SHE Holdings, LLC, Project 12, honored by City Commission President Christina Lambert.
James T. Waldron III, president of the North Shore Neighborhood Association, honored by City Commissioner Cathleen Ward.
Verdenia C. Baker, retired Palm Beach County Administrator, honored by City Commissioner Shalonda Warren.
Camile Bunche, founder Camile’s Flowers & Gifts, with her husband, Julius, honored by City Commissioner Christy Fox.
Clarence D. Williams III, retired police officer and retired Chief of Police for Riviera Beach, honored by City Commissioner Joseph Peduzzi.
DEVELOPMENT SERVICES – Approved an ordinance after a second public hearing for the rezoning of the Gateway Center CPD generally located at 1100 Banyan Boulevard from a Commercial Planned Development (CPD) Zoning district to Clearlake District-25 (CLD-25) in the Downtown Master Plan (DMP); approved a resolution after a public hearing on a request by Heather Jo Allen, Esq. of Keiser Legal, PLLC, on behalf of Everglades College, Inc., for a Major Amendment to the Keiser University Community Service Planned Development (CSPD), to amend the master plan by adding new uses and to amend the current development regulations.
ENGINEERING – Approved a pair of companion resolutions, the first approving a Local Agency Program Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation for the construction of the 49th Street Traffic Calming and Bicycle Improvements Project in the amount of $327,392; and the companion resolution recognizing and appropriating the FDOT LAP Agreement grant funding and required City match.
POLICE DEPARTMENT – Approved two resolutions, the first accepting a donation from the Police Athletic League of West Palm Beach Inc. of a 2015 Chevrolet Express van and a 2020 Ford Transit 350 XL for use by the West Palm Beach Police Department for law enforcement and community engagement activities; and the second appropriating the receipt of a 2015 Chevrolet Express van and a 2020 Ford Transit 350 XL.
PUBLIC UTILITIES – Approved a resolution provides reclassifications in the total amount of $62,257,660 for Public Utilities capital projects, providing budget reallocation of previously adopted budget funding, including an accounting reclassification of $650,000.

Approved five companion resolutions authorizing the CRA to:

Renew a lease to Apartment A for a month-to-month lease term, not to exceed three (3) months, subject to employment verification by the end of the three-month term, and an automatic extension for nine (9) months, creating a full one-year lease term, if the employment verification is provided, for the property located at 608 23rd Street, Unit A, West Palm Beach, Florida, 33407, to the existing tenants;

Renew a lease to Apartment B for one (1) year for the property located at 608 23rd Street, Unit B, West Palm Beach, Florida, 33407, to the existing tenants;

Renew a lease to Apartment C for one (1) year for the property located at 608 23rd Street, Unit C, West Palm Beach, Florida, 33407, to the existing tenants;

Renew a lease to Apartment D for one (1) year for the property located at 608 23rd Street, Unit D, West Palm Beach, Florida, 33407, to the existing tenants;

Renew a lease to Apartment C for one (1) year for the property located at 610 23rd Street, Unit C, West Palm Beach, Florida, 33407.
Honored Dr. Alisha Winn for her 10 years of service and anthropological work with the CRA.
