Blending multi-octave vocals and world-class tap dancing on a soulful setlist featuring both classic and contemporary chart-topping hits, Solomon Jaye’s TAP INTO SOUL offers an exciting new take on a timeless genre of music. From “I Feel Good” (James Brown) and “Let’s Stay Together” (Al Green) to “Superstition” (Stevie Wonder), “September” (Earth, Wind & Fire), “Shape of You” (Ed Sheeran), and “Uptown Funk” (Bruno Mars), the incredible music featured in this high-energy show (accompanied by Jaye’s frenzy of fast footwork and even some surprise instrumental solos) transports listeners from the 1950s to today in the blink of an eye!
Don't miss Solomon Jaye, taking the stage on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024.

The City of West Palm Beach celebrated the culmination of the Your Waterfront. Your Way. program with an event called Chill in the City. During the free event, residents were invited to participate in yoga sessions, massages, a cold plunge, and more.
This “activation” event was a direct testament to the impact of our community's valued feedback. Everyone at the event helped officially kick-off the revision of our Waterfront!
The City of West Palm Beach has implemented a new and powerful permitting and licensing platform on its website through Open Counter, connecting residents and the public with essential permitting and zoning information that is accessible whenever they need.
The “Permit Planner Portal” available on the City’s Development Services webpage, offers tons of helpful information, walking residents and the public through their projects in a way that is easy to understand. It is a guide to be used before submitting applications — the platform itself is not designed for submitting applications.
The goal of this new platform is to make it easier for residents and business owners to determine zoning and permitting requirements without having to delay their project by having to reach out to City staff. Staff are available during regular business hours, but this gives residents the tools and ability to plan and problem solve on their own time. The platform is operational in English, Spanish, and Creole.
For more information, visit the City’s Development Services webpage or watch an informative video on the City’s YouTube page.

Community and Social Services: Connecting Those in Need with Critical Resources
We are thrilled to share two recent success stories from our dedicated Homeless Outreach team. Their tireless efforts and compassionate approach have made a significant impact in our community, and these stories are a testament to their hard work and dedication.
Meet Roy:
Roy, a resilient 62-year-old, faced chronic homelessness on the streets of West Palm Beach for many years. Despite receiving more than 45 crucial direct services, including six shelter referrals, mental health assessments, job training, and case management, Roy was struggling to find success.
However, one day, Roy courageously decided to take a big step and finally confront his addiction — and the Outreach team swiftly jumped into action. Within hours, the team arranged his admission into an inpatient rehab facility, providing clothes and transportation.
Update: Since then, Roy's journey has led him to employment at the addiction treatment center, as an alumni of the program. He has quickly become a leader in his community. Roy also bought a truck and even went on his first vacation in decades to visit his children! He calls our Outreach team regularly to check in and say thank you. We are all rooting for Roy’s continued success.
Meet this Homeward Bound Michigan Couple:
During the Outreach team's recent Downtown engagement efforts, they encountered a new couple along Clematis Street. After talking to the couple, they learned that they were parents to six children and were trying to make their way back to Michigan. They had begun their journey in Key West, traveling through Miami, Broward, and eventually arriving in West Palm Beach.
Both individuals were struggling with alcohol abuse and expressed interest in seeking treatment. The Outreach team, after informing the couple about the Homeward Bound Program, was able to assist them in finding addiction treatment resources and reconnect them with family in Michigan.
They are now starting their recovery journey with the support of loved ones.
We are wishing them all the best!
