Mayor Keith James will deliver this year's State of the City address on Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Palm Beach County Convention Center during the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches’ monthly breakfast series. Mayor James will highlight big moments from 2024 and share what’s in store for 2025.

Leadership West Palm Beach
Yesterday morning, Mayor Keith A. James welcomed the new group of 2025 Leadership West Palm Beach participants at City Hall.
In partnership with The Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches, the mission of Leadership West Palm Beach is to cultivate the leadership potential of individuals who reside or work here in the City of West Palm Beach. This program will help participants utilize their skills to to assist in future planning and decision-making for the betterment of West Palm Beach and throughout the Palm Beaches.
Participants are exposed to a variety of integral aspects of our community, including government, health and human services, education, economic development, arts, culture and festivals, neighborhoods and even the water catchment area.

Recently, the Police Department welcomed 13 new officers to the City of West Palm Beach. Each officer in this exceptional graduating class is committed to excellence and ready to protect and serve our City.
The Fire Department also welcomed eight new members this month. These individuals, along with the entire department, lead with great dedication and skill, giving their absolute best when it comes to keeping our residents safe.
Congratulations to these new graduates and thank you for serving the great City of West Palm Beach! We appreciate all that you do.

Record-breaking news! On Friday, we made history with the COX Science Center and Aquarium, smashing the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people dressed up as dinosaurs! The record to beat was 250 — and thanks to YOU, we reached an incredible 468 dinos on the Great Lawn at Screen on the Green!

2018 Bicycle Master Plan Update

Building on the 2018 Bicycle Master Plan, The City’s goal for the Bicycle Master Plan update is to expand the network of low-stress bike routes to daily destinations.
If you missed the first meeting last night, you still have four more opportunities, including TONIGHT from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the South Olive Community Center. There will be one fact-finding meeting in each of the five City Commission districts.

Plant a tree and help us reach our goal of planting 10,000 trees!🌳 This program, an initiative of the City of West Palm Beach's Office of Sustainability, reflects the City's partnership with its residents and businesses to beautify our neighborhoods, sustain the health of existing trees, and increase the City's shade canopy.
The Office of Sustainability is giving away up to 4 native trees per City of West Palm Beach resident/business on January 18, 2025, during the City of West Palm Beach GreenMarket from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
