Crema Gourmet | Grand Opening
"We officially welcomed Crema Gourmet to the City of West Palm Beach today with a ribbon cutting ceremony during their grand opening. The community came together not just to celebrate the opening of a new café, but to recognize a brand that’s committed to becoming an active and meaningful part of every community it touches.
Founded in 2013 by entrepreneurs Yiannis Sotiropoulosand Makis Paliouras, Crema began as a single café in Miami. Since then, it has grown into a lifestyle brand known for its European charm, warm hospitality, and thoughtful convenience.
Now, with its 22nd location — and its very first in West Palm Beach — Crema brings its signature spirit to the heart of our vibrant downtown.
Crema joins a growing list of businesses choosing to invest in West Palm Beach — a city where people come not just to live or work, but to thrive.
On behalf of the City of West Palm Beach, welcome. We’re thrilled to have you join our community!"

Hurricane Season | June 1 – November 30, 2025
"As we head into Hurricane Season this Sunday, it is crucial that residents are prepared for any potential storms. Each year, in anticipation of Hurricane Season, City staff work hard to ensure we are prepared for anything. Earlier this month, several departments, including Utilities, Public Works, Fire, and Parks and Recreation took part in a post-storm simulation drill, where response crews were presented with realistic hazards and conditions that they would have to navigate after a storm. These teams were then graded on their performance and given constructive feedback.
Our number one priority is your safety — and we are ready to help. Are you ready? Make sure to review the City's Hurricane Readiness Guide and our extensive list of resources that's available on the City's website."
— Mayor Keith A. James

Art lovers were invited to meet area artists and watch them work during the two-day Open Studios event presented by the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County. Studios from Tequesta to Boca Raton were open to the public, and we spent time with one West Palm Beach artist as he worked and spoke to visitors.
