Fantasy Island | 325 N. Sapodilla
We celebrated the grand opening of Fantasy Island last week with lots of food, dancing, and a ribbon cutting ceremony! This Caribbean restaurant is located in the heart of our City’s Historic Northwest neighborhood in a beautifully restored building.
|
“The Historic Northwest is one of West Palm Beach’s most historically significant neighborhoods, home to generations of artists, entrepreneurs, and a vibrant African American community — and we honor that legacy by continuing to invest in its future.
Fantasy Island is more than a great place to dine. It’s a symbol of historic preservation, economic revitalization, and cultural pride.” — Mayor Keith A. James.
We are thrilled to welcome Nivia & Fritz Jean Louis to their new business.
Congratulations!

West Palm Beach Police Pay Tribute in Washington, D.C.
In May, the West Palm Beach Police Department traveled to our nation’s capital to honor one of our own — Officer Jeremy Boykins — during the Annual Candlelight Vigil held at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C.
Officer Boykins, who tragically passed away on September 10, 2024, was formally remembered, and his name was permanently engraved on the Memorial Wall. This solemn tribute ensures his service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
|
His family, the West Palm Beach Police Chief, and West Palm Beach Police Department’s Honor Guard stood in reverence as Officer Boykins’ name was read aloud, alongside hundreds of other fallen heroes from across the country.
Though he may be gone, Officer Boykins’ legacy and commitment to protecting our community live on in all of us.
We are eternally grateful for his service.
May he rest in peace.
