Rethinking Urban Governance for Climate Mobility Panel at Harvard’s Bloomberg Center for Cities
"As Mayor, I know that climate disruption is not a distant challenge. It is unfolding in real time. At Harvard’s Bloomberg Center for Cities, I joined the “Rethinking Urban Governance for Climate Mobility” panel to discuss how communities can prepare for this reality.
I shared why leadership must do more than theorize: we must anticipate, collaborate, and build resilient systems now. By embracing adaptive and inclusive planning, we can safeguard our communities and protect the future we share." — Mayor Keith A. James
19th Annual Palm Beach Partners Business MatchMaker Conference & Expo
"Here in West Palm Beach, small businesses are the backbone of our economy, the drivers of innovation, and the heart of our community.
That’s why, in 2019, we created the Office of Small Business Programs — to build opportunity and ensure every business has a chance to thrive and grow.
In the six years since, we’ve steadily increased the dollars awarded to small businesses, and today that impact can be seen across our City.
The results speak for themselves: in our most recent quarterly report, the City exceeded its 18% small business participation goal. In fact, last fiscal year, small businesses received more than $15 million in payments — representing 21% of our total competed dollars!"
— Mayor Keith A. James
