WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (May 12, 2025) –The West Palm Beach Police Department is issuing a warning after responding to three overdose deaths throughout the city earlier today.
The exact cause of each overdose death is under investigation, but detectives believe synthetic opioids may be involved.
“We urge the public to stay vigilant – this batch is lethal. We’ve already lost lives, and until we identify and remove it from our streets, no one is safe,” said West Palm Beach Police Deputy Chief Anthony Shearer. “If you or someone you know is using, please seek help now – your life could depend on it.”
