The Mandel Public Library and Grassy Waters Nature Center and Cypress Trail will be closed Sunday, April 5, 2026, in observance of Easter. On Monday, April 6, 2026, Grassy Waters will reopen at 8 a.m. and the Mandel Public Library will at 9:30 a.m.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (January 26, 2026) — The West Palm Beach Police Department responded to reports of gunshots along the 400 block of 16th Street around 3:40 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers located an individual suffering from a gunshot wound. The individual was pronounced dead a short time later.
The investigation is ongoing.
