2018 Economic Development Study

The latest City of West Palm Beach Economic Development Study was completed in 2018.

 

Building Improvement Grant Program

This incentive program offered by the City of West Palm Beach is targeted for property owners / landlords and new businesses relocating or existing businesses expanding space to make significant, permanent modifications to existing buildings thus raising the overall property value and in some cases, bringing the property up to proper building codes. Through this program, The City encourages major tenant improvements necessary for subdividing ground floor spaces and attracting the right mix of businesses to the streets, as well as for the significant improvements to life safety systems, and improvements that enable upper floors of existing commercial buildings to be used by professional services, theaters, and other places of assembly.

Merchants/Industry Association Creation Program

In order to encourage and stimulate economic growth in the City of West Palm Beach, the City encourages businesses throughout the City to form formal organized groups or associations based on common industries or geographical areas within the City. The establishment or organized merchant groups or associations facilitates communications between the City and local businesses and is beneficial to the local economy.

The program offers grant funds subject to availability and eligibility.
