The mission of the City of West Palm Beach Department of Housing and Community Development is to enhance the quality of life for its residents through the development of housing, social, and economic opportunities. Community Services, a division of the Department, is a resource center that offers the community a compassionate place to receive information, referrals, counseling and serves as a "one-stop" assistance center.
Local Government Area of Opportunity Funding (LGAOF) – Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO)
The City of West Palm Beach is accepting applications from affordable housing developers for Local Government Area of Opportunity Funding (LGAOF) in support of the Florida Housing Finance Corporation's 2026/2027 9% Housing Credits Program. The City intends to select one (1) affordable rental housing project for a commitment of $640,000 to advance the development of quality affordable housing within the City.
Applications must be submitted electronically to HCD@wpb.org by 4:00 p.m. on June 26, 2026. Questions regarding this NOFO should also be directed to HCD@wpb.org.
