Leasing Opportunities in the CRA Districts

When vacancies occur, the CRA accepts applications from qualifying individuals to lease CRA-owned housing properties within the CRA district. The district is divided into 10 highly urbanized target areas. The CRA includes lands within City Commission Districts 1 and 3. The CRA map can be viewed by clicking here.
Program Details:
The CRA strives to provide a diverse range of housing options affordable to residents earning between 60% and 100% of Palm Beach County’s Area Median Income (AMI). These income limits are established annually by the Florida Housing Finance Corporation in accordance with guidelines from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Rental rates for CRA units are determined based on these limits and are subject to adjustment each year. Prospective applicants are encouraged to review their income eligibility carefully, taking into account the number of rooms in the desired unit, before submitting an application.

The Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is pleased to announce a limited leasing opportunity available exclusively to City staff, with an anticipated June 2026 move-in date.
Income Range and Rental Rates:
The CRA is accepting applicants that are earning between 60% and 70% of Palm Beach County’s Area Median Income (AMI). These rental rates are taking into account the number of rooms this lot offers, two bedrooms.
Income Range:
• One Person Household Income Range: $49,140 - $57,330
• Two Person Household Income Range: $56,160 - $65,520
• Three Person Household Income Range: $63,120 - $73,640
Monthly Rate:
• Two downstairs units: $1,578/month
• One upstairs unit: $1,678/month
• Security Deposit: One month rent (subject to final leasing terms).
Open House Schedule:
• Monday, April 13 | 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
• Wednesday, April 15 | 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Application Submission Details:
• Applications will be accepted on Friday, April 17 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM only
• All applications and required supporting documents must be submitted via email within this time frame to CRA@wpb.org
• Submissions received outside of this window will not be considered
• The application period will close once 25 complete applications have been received
Please note that only complete applications, including all required documentation, will be accepted and reviewed. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Application Process:
All applications will be processed on a first-come-first-qualified basis, and all applicants must meet program eligibility criteria. All units are subject to availability. CRA will advertise any units available via its website or other publishing channels. Only completed applications will be reviewed.
Completed applications consist of:
A. A complete application form.
B. All required supporting documentation.
C. A complete background and credit screening.
A completed RentSpree background and credit screening is required. You may be emailed a link upon receipt of your application to complete this screening.
Please note: the applicant is responsible for the non-refundable fee of $39.00 to be paid directly to RentSpree. All pages of this report must be submitted with the completed application.
Incomplete applications will need to be resubmitted and the applicant’s position in the queue will then be reset to the new completed application date. Failure to provide all mandatory documentation can result in disqualification or delay of application review.
