Building a Future with the Environment in Mind
"I am proud to announce that our City has been honored with the 2024 Keep America Beautiful Innovation Award — a testament to our commitment to maintaining our City’s neighborhoods.
This achievement reflects the dedication of the Clean Streets Task Force. By using data-driven strategies and cross-department collaboration, they are taking bold action to eliminate illegal dumping, remove abandoned vehicles, and combat littering.
On behalf of our City, Duane White, Coordinator for Keep West Palm Beach Beautiful, accepted this award. Beyond a doubt, our neighborhoods are cleaner and safer thanks to this amazing team and the incredible work they do every day.
This commitment to a cleaner, more beautiful city goes hand in hand with our broader sustainability efforts. Beyond keeping our streets clean, we are investing in long-term solutions to protect our environment and combat climate change. That’s why my Administration is also prioritizing initiatives like the Youth Climate Action Fund, empowering the next generation to lead the charge on sustainability.
I am thankful Bloomberg Philanthropies initiated the Youth Climate Action Fund, and I am honored that West Palm Beach has been accepted into this project for the second time. Our young people’s future belongs to them, and their leadership is critical in the long-term struggle against the changes associated with climate change."
