2025 Black History Month | Heritage Honoree
"Last month, I officially proclaimed February 2025 as Black History Month in the City of West Palm Beach. During the City Commission Meeting on February 3, the City Commission members and myself locally recognized six great Americans, Black Americans, as Heritage Heroes and Honorees. President of Palm Beach State College, Dr. Ava C. Parker — Palm Beach State College’s first female president — was not able to attend initially, so this week I was able to officially decorate her as a 2025 Heritage Honoree." — Mayor Keith A. James
Women's History Month | City Employee Celebration
During the 2nd Annual Women's History Month event at City Hall, staff came together to celebrate with fashion, food, and fireside chats. Women shared personal anecdotes revolving around health, leadership, and motherhood, focusing particularly on the intersectionality of work-life balance. The fashion show in City Hall brought lots of cheers and connection, as women showcased looks in four specific categories: Greek/Sorority Life, Cultural Fusion, Party/Celebration Wear, and Women in Uniform. We can't wait for next year!
